The Economic Impact of the Child Care Industry in California

Computer technology, agriculture, tourism. Each of these industries contributes to the economy of California. But, child care? This report documents how child care contributes to the economic health of the state both in terms of dollars and jobs, while providing a rationale for bolstering services to this industry.

This report was published in June 2001 and sponsored by the National Economic Development Law Center as part of the Local Investment in Child Care Project.
