The Foundation for Child Development has put together a page with resources and organizations that are calling for social and racial reform in the workplace, particularly in the field of Early Care and Education. Most early care providers are women or persons of color that simply don’t get to voice their concerns in the workforce. Hopefully with these resources, we are able to bring about change so teachers can feel seen and supported, especially considering they are in charge of our future leaders.
The article is intended for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners that can work to:
- Identify ECE workforce-related systems of structural racism.
- Understand, develop, and implement solutions aimed at dismantling those systems.
- Promote anti-racist and anti-bias policies and practices that can support stronger outcomes for children and for the ECE workforce.
